Well, every year this tends to change, as they go head to head all over the world at different F1 championships. Who is paid the most? Which driver is at the top, and remains at the top in 2019? Well, of course, that is still Lewis Hamilton. He is still the top paid driver in F1, and not surprising after his five dominant world titles.

Why Does He Remain on Top?

Lewis Hamilton has always been at the top of his career really from the start. Maybe it is because at a younger age he took to kart racing and then went into Formula One. This has had to have played an advantage with his career, always being behind the wheel from a very young age. He first took to car racing back in 2001, and by 2003, he had won the Formula Renault 2.0 UK championship.

Known to many other F1 drivers as the best of all time, it isn’t surprising he is also the highest paid. Will he remain the best in 2020, who knows? He isn’t just the highest paid F1 driver; he is also the highest paid British sportsman.
